Boo to You!

Halloween at the Mogles was hit this year. Connor was Ironman, Dylan decided to be Thomas the Train {yay, for saving Connor's costume from last year!}, I was a "nice witch" as my kids called me, and Paul was a zombie.
Friday we kicked off the holiday with a nursery party for Dylan and then a block party that night. We live on a cul-de-sac so our neighbors put their fire pit out in the street and we sat around it and ate yummy soup and warm bread, talked, and let the kids ride their bikes and chase each other around until bedtime. We had a ghoulish visitor come spook us while we sat outside and lets just say Connor has been traumatized....here it is Monday and we are still talking about the "tall bony guy" who came to scare us.
Saturday we had a ward party and trunk-or-treat at the church. Trunk-or-treats are definitely the way to go, especially for the little kids. After that we thought we were taking the boys out to hit a few houses since they had both been practicing saying "trick-or-treat" ALL day long. No such luck. Dylan was tired and Connor was still scared of the "bony guy" so we went to two houses and were home by 8:00! We only had a handful or trick-or-treaters come by Saturday so it was a pretty quiet night.

I love the changing seasons and all the holidays that come with it. We are getting ready to host Thanksgiving dinner at our house again this year {two years ago we had it at our house with my family and last year we stayed home for Dylan}, we are excited to have family come visit....and to NOT have to travel!

Happy Boo to You!!!

These two pictures pretty much summed up how Connor felt about Dad's costume!

Here are the boys at the nursery party!

and since everyone busted out if their costumes before we could get a family Halloween picture, you just get me!
{and yes I am standing like a total dweeb but it's the only picture I got!}
