Fish Lake 2012

We spent this last weekend at Fish Lake doing some fishing, eating, walking on trails, pirate fighting, eating, table jumping, playing games, eating, and just being together as a family. It was a weekend well spent!

Just like last year, we booked another "rustic cabin" only this time we upgraded to a cabin with a "kitchen". It cost a whopping $3 more a night for the small upgrade! It was totally worth it too. The boys had fun walking on the trails, playing pirates on picnic tables, and shooting their guns.

The weather was absolutely perfect. It rained pretty hard Saturday afternoon. We had fun watching the kids run and play in the puddles! We took them fishing, of course. And just like last year we got skunked! Not a single fish was caught. Dylan told me, after an hour of not catching a single fish, "Mom, fishing is just so boring!" I agree Dylan. Paul says next year we are renting a boat! Guess we'll see.

We stayed two nights, just like last year. I was telling Paul on the way home that two nights is perfect; not too long, but definitely long enough! We can't wait to go back next year!
