playing catch up

i just uploaded a bunch of pictures from my camera and it made me realize just how far behind i am. so here we go. we celebrated dylan's birthday on may 23rd. he got s-p-o-i-l-e-d so bad. oh well, it was a fun day for him, and connor...and paul and me! he opened his presents first thing in the morning, then we played all day. we had our traditional little caesars pizza and cake for dinner. i still can't believe he is three. turning three has its down sides: we now have two kids to pay for if we go to the movie! dang it.

for memorial day we {as in me and the three children} headed up to sterling to visit my family. i wasn't going to go because paul had to work all. weekend. long. but i decided to just be brave and go for it. my biggest worry was sam in the car. she actually did awesome and we made record time getting there! the boys had so much fun playing with the cousins. we ate till we were sick, played at the park, practiced a little baseball, jumped on the trampoline, and watched movies. i also went to my 10 year class reunion. 10 years? i can't believe its been that long. it was so fun catching up with everyone and seeing everyone's cute kids.
memorial weekend 2011 also marks samantha's first sunburn. i guess being outside all day for 2 days will burn a tiny baby! oops. luckily it faded pretty quick!
i am so excited for this summer. both boys are signed up for swimming lessons. connor is excited to float on his back while dylan is a "lil bit nervous to get water in my ears." they are taking lessons from a girl in the neighborhood so hopefully they get a little more one on one time! we have a movie pass, family reunion, holidays, boredom busters day camp, movies at the town square, splash pads, and playdates to fill our summer! i love summer. i love living in st. george even when it gets too hot to breathe. nothing is better than sweaty, healthy, pink skinned little boys begging for popsicles for three months straight! bring it on.
as for samantha, she is just too cute for words. sometimes, ok, all the time, i don't know what we are going to do with her red, curly hair. some days its a little much--and she's only 4 months old! she is full of spunk already. she is all girl with her high pitched squeals and early morning squawking sessions. she is a delight. i will save all the cute things she is learning to do for another post. {she has her 4 month checkup next week!}

now if i could just get my kids to sleep in past 7:00 for the next few months.....if only!
