So its been awhile. To be honest, I just need to get this baby here! I mean yes, she isn't technically due yet but my life could move forward a little if she was here today!
{Ha, don't I sound like a spoiled brat? eh, maybe I am}
We really haven't been up to much. Paul is busy with work. You know, planning and designing roads and stuff. Connor is busy with preschool and wants to play soccer.
{I'm totally excited he's old enough to play}
Dylan is trying to decide if he wants to potty train or not. We're kind of on a hit or miss deal with him. If he feels like going in the little potty he's goes....if he doesn't feel like it then he just tells me:
"Mom, I'm just peein' in my diaper ok?"
um...ya....ok? I've tried to convince him to just go on the potty, but he's stubborn like that. It's pretty much his way or the highway!
{should I even admit stuff like that on here? oh, I'm a pushover? pretty much}
Other than that life is just smooth sailing, except for the anticipation of Samantha getting here. I seriously can't wait. I love just looking in the closet and seeing PINK! I can't wait to hold her and love on her. Really what I can't wait for is to see the boys, all 3 of them, with her.
I am already missing the idea of just Me with my two little boys. Connor and Dylan have made us feel so complete as a family. While I am ready for Samantha to make her appearance, I'm prepping my mind for what is really about to happen. This little girl is going to take over.
I can remember feeling so bad that I couldn't give Connor 100% of my attention after Dylan was born, and feeling so guilty about it! I am going to try really hard not to let myself get that way with the boys this time around. In some ways it will be easier...Connor and Dylan are best buddies so they will have each other, like they do now, to play/fight with! When Dylan was born I guess I just felt like Connor was put on the back burner while I figured out how to handle another baby.
This time around my anxiety about all that is less. I am crossing my fingers that both boys will love having a baby around...especially a baby girl!
If this is how the relationship starts:
{you know, with them not looking/touching/or wanting anything to do with her}
We are going to be in big trouble!
I don't think we will, however, this was really hard for me to see after Dylan was born. I just thought Connor would love him. And he did/does, it just took a little while! Anyway, enough of my ramblings. Baby Samantha will be here before we know it!
I can't wait!

Good Luck! I've been thinking about you. Even if they don't love her right away they'll probably warm up pretty quick! I'm nervous about Reagan loving our baby a little too much. Can't wait to see all the pink you have ready to go. Maybe I should get things ready for this baby...maybe later! I'm being such a slacker this time around. I just want to sleep.
Tara I love reading your blogs. You guys are quite the writers. This baby will be darling and the boys will love her. Good luck!!
