they say it's your birthday!

yesterday connor turned 4. can you believe it? i have a 4 year old. it kind of weirds me out a little. only a little though. he had such a fun day, minus the part where he fell down at school and skinned his knee and wouldn't put a band-aid on it! yes, minus that part, he had a great day...at least i like to think he did.

we did presents in the morning because i knew he would just ask me all day long if he could open them. so to avoid any melt downs i let him open them first thing in the morning. he got a smartcycle, some cars, a couple dragons, a game and a few puzzles. he got to take treats to his friends at preschool too. for dinner we had pizza, of course! i made him a two layer bug cake! i know, i know, i'm a cool mom!

i know everyone says it but seriously the time flies by! connor is 4. FOUR! he is getting so smart. just a few things about connor:

he can wink! (he just learned the other day)
loves to play video games (mario kart wii and now smart cycle)
does not like band-aids because they are sticky
likes to keep his hands clean
takes his pants and shoes off the second we walk in the door
sleeps on the top bunk
calls me every morning when he wakes up, "mom, i'm just wakin' up!"
calls me to wipe his bum, "mom, come and wipe my bum!"
loves to play with friends
likes reading books every night before bed
likes to help say prayers
always willing to help clean up toys, as long i sing the clean up song!
loves to have pillow fights with dad
his whistle is really just a high pitch scream

i love this boy so much. connor has brought so much happiness into our family. he always has a smile and hug for dylan. he is such a big help to me around the house.

i love you connor boy. and while i can't believe how fast you are growing up i am so proud of the sweet little boy you are!
