today you ventured off to your first day of preschool.
never have i been more excited for you. you woke up in a good mood.
you ate all of your fruit loops,
got dressed in your favorite batman shirt and super-fast running shoes,
and even held still long enough for me to brush your teeth.
you are growing up right before my very eyes.
not sure if i like that.
i took a few pictures of you on your first day of school.
you insisted that dylan be in your pictures too.
oh, how dylan will miss you while you are away.
oh, how i will miss you.
preschool is going to be great.

i dropped you off.
and you ran off to play with the other kids.
just like i hoped you would do.
hopefully my arms won't feel so empty for too long.

Wow! He started early! Anders' doesn't start for another two weeks. Now you've got me all nervous! I have to take him to his openhouse today and I just might break-down! I'm losing my little man to another woman. Someone else will zip his zipper or wipe his face. Love you Tara! I guess I'm kinda glad you went through this before me. Now I can follow your lead!
So sweet and exactly how i feel. How come we miss our little guys so much? i'm leaving mine for the first time (for more than 2-3 hours) on Saturday and i'm dreading it.... He will be good, but i will miss him like crazy. I can't imagine when he's off to school...and then life. crazy. love your post
Yeah for preschool! Yeah for moms who don't kiss their kids goodbye!! I guess we are more alike than we already think!! Thanks again for all the fun this week--I owe you a big hug!!! Ha! (Just let me know when you are ready!)
To the gal with great hair- thanks for having an un-baby shower for my baby sister Robyn (who is the bomb and totally awesome), she loved it. I know she is so grateful to have a friend like you. Your boys are super cute!
