Mr. Mom Day 1:

Tara left for Girl's Camp Wednesday morning and will return Saturday morning. I have taken a few days off work to watch my boys.

Here are my observations from Day 1:

I am with the natives (kids), I call them natives because this is their native ground and I am the stranger. They have let me know that I am the stranger. They are not used to me at these hours of the day. I am learning their language."Pa-cheen" means machine. "re'-wawa" is red-water or Hawaiian Punch. Still unsure what "Ha-tee" means. I have found some things make the natives hostile. For one, they do not like the word "No". Saying the word "No" will generally be met with crying and fits of tantrums. Sleep and food are also things that make them hostile
. The mere mention of the word "sleep" or "nap" unleashes a Mr. Hyde type personality. For some reason food has a similar effect. But not all food. Things sprinkled in sugar tend to be met with a more pleasant personality. I only hope the sleeping arrangements tonight are pleasant.
