This morning the Mogle family was awake and out of the house by 5:55. We arrived at the hospital a few minutes after six, got checked in, put Connor is oh-so-cute-mini-gown, and waited, and waited, and waited. Our doctor must have been running late....as in he slept in! Hello, we were the first appointment and our doctor was late! We ended up trying to entertain the boys for over an hour, in a pre-op room. Thank goodness for early morning cartoons and latex gloves that Paul blew up into balloons for the boys to play with.
A few minutes past 7 the nurses came in and quietly...yes quietly, no screaming on Connors part, whisked him away to the operating room. About 20 minutes later the doctor came out and told us he was done. "Lots and lots of fluid in those ears." was what he told us. The good news is, the fluid is out and Connor's hearing should improve in the next few days. We are so excited. Connor came out of surgery more alert than Dylan did but he was pretty grumpy. Nothing a little cartoons and apple juice couldn't heal. After he had chilled out a bit he was ready to put his own jammies back on and we headed home.
We are so glad the surgeries are over and more importantly that both boys will be able to hear better and hopefully NO MORE EAR INFECTIONS!!! (cross your fingers for them!)

I am so glad things went well today... and hopefully no more infections!
I am glad that they are feeling better!
Yeah - I hope they feel better. Ear infections are horrible! We almost had to have this same thing done to Brayden, but he grew out of it.
And way to go with the coupons! My cousin tried teaching me how to use the grocery web site and the newspaper coupons...we don't get the newspaper...so, not much came of it. But she said it was a great saver!
I am glad they are feeling better! That is so sad and cute to see them in their hospital gowns.
We had tubes put in Collin's ears last summer and it was the best thing we have done. He has not had one ear infection since. It has been so good!
