401(k)!

Well since the beginning of the year our 401(k) has pretty much acted like a balloon. It has slowly been leaking until suddenly it pops and all that is inside the balloon has escaped. Hopefully we have reached the "popping" point, and are on the slow and steady climb to fixing the problem. However, I doubt we are at that point. Maybe Congress will make a "bail-out" plan for us, the ones that they have been hurt the most by all this stuff going on! I think this day will come before that day.

Since Jan. 1, 2008 we have netted a rate of return of -42%! I have wondered if we are better off taking that $0.40 on every dollar we have put in this year and bought a big screen tv instead of throwing it down the drain and then invest that $0.60 on every dollar later on. I guess that's what hindsight is for.

I feel like this is what Wall-Street is doing/showing us all:

Maybe we should invest all our money in rope.
I think some of those guys on Wall Street are going to be buying and using this if the economy keeps diving like it is!
