Nap Time Stinks

Why? Why is it so hard for my Connor boy to take a nap. We are going through another phase. He is currently in his room kicking who knows what against the wall. He was doing so well with naps. We would play all morning, and then eat lunch around 11:00 and it was off to bed by 11:30....that has all disappeared. Here it is 12:40 and he is still not asleep. He has been in there for almost an hour. I have been in there and changed his butt...again...tucked his sweet little face in bed....again...turned on his CD...again....and he is still not going to sleep, nor is he showing signs that he is going to go to sleep. Now he is pounding on his door calling for me! What is a crazy mom to do? I'll tell you what I have done the past week that he has done this...let him stay up! Paul asked me just the other day, "When do kids quit taking naps?" Curses I tell you! I need Connor to take a nap for MY own sanity and peace of mind.

Well I can't take it anymore and he is only getting louder which means he is going to wake up Dylan (and I can't have that) so I am off to let him out!

Happy Napping

Good Luck with that. Micah quit taking naps regularly when he was 2 1/2. He will usually take about 1 nap per week now, but sometimes not even that. I totally know what you mean, though! Need it for your own sanity! I got a bonus, though, today. Both kids fell asleep at the same time!! I took advantage of that and laid down as well...I figure it will be the last nap I'll get for awhile since we are having a baby tomororw! Welcome back sleepless nights...and days!!

oh no!!! Reddek is kind of in the same phase. I use to lay him down at about 12:00 after lunch for a good two hours. Now this past week I lay him down and he just sits in there and talks to himself until I finally let him come out because I feel like a terrible mom if I just leave him in his room. . . I hope they aren't to the age to stop napping yet I think I will go CRAZY!!!

OH no!! I am soooo not looking forward to Cash not taking a nap. It is my only moment of peace. How old are your boys??? I love your blog, you are so funny.

Hi Tera. The way I set up the class blog is I sent everyone an e-mail if I had their address and gave them the password and the username. I made it something easy like bulldogs as the password and etc. Then I asked them to forward the info. on to anyone from our class who they had their e-mail address. So they can just get on and put whatever they want under their own name. I set everything up and they just have to add their own stuff to it. I'm thinking about changing it so if you click on someones name it links to their personal blog. So just another idea. Anyway good luck. If you need more help let me know.

Yikes! I don't know what to tell you. Good luck with that one. I'm usually worried about Corbin waking Bridger up.

Are you guys going to come up for the BYU-Wyoming game? It would be fun!

I think there are some kids that decide that they don't need naps anymore. Lucky for me Easton is 4 and still takes naps somedays. Hopefully he will get back on track for your sake! In the meantime, good luck!!
