i give in

it's the start of a new year. with that comes the buzz of making new year's resolutions and goals. it is in this department of life that i totally suck. i mean i like to set and accomplish goals, it's just the whole "making new year's resolutions" part that i hate. so this year, well yesterday actually, when paul asked me what my goals were--i snapped at him. what else is new?

"i'm not making any dumb goals this year because here is my list from last year--lose weight. bomb. pay off a credit card. bomb. read the new testament. bomb. pay off student loan. bomb."

and the list goes on and on--one.bomb.after.another.

and so right then and there i ripped up my 2011 list of unaccomplished mess and resolved to not making a list for 2012--then i talked to my mom this morning. our topics included: her rokcin' new years eve party, money, weight loss, her headache, her walk around the block--with her dog, my dirty carpets, january birthdays--Chad, my brother. Rob, my step-father. Samantha, my daughter. and some juicy gossip...

and i'll be damned danged, when i got off the phone with her i had a whole list of new goals for the year--numero uno: watch my potty mouth.

my goals are actually things i can work on and accomplish daily. baby steps right?

so while i am not planning to pay off any major debt--unless we get a hefty tax return, which has never happened before--losing weight, or climbing mighty mountains...i may just end up being nicer, happier, and more positive--my thinking? the rest will fall into place!
