Weekend Get-away

Our weekend went a little something like this:

Thursday- I spent all day doing the crap work for getting ready to go on vacation. You know....laundry, packing, cleaning out the car. The fun stuff like that. By the time we were ready to leave I wasn't feeling so hot. And by that I mean Paul had to drive because I was not feeling well. (For those who don't know how this Mogle family works--I. Always. Drive. Period. Always.) Not Thursday. I just felt yuck. Lets just say we had to make a few stops on the way up to Gunnison...and I puked in Richfield. At a gas station. Outside. In a garbage can. By the door going into the gas station. Lovely. And it got on my pants. Sick. But my husband is so nice and he just made a face at me when I got back in the car. He didn't say a word about how gross I was or anything. He is a good man. When we finally made it to Gunnison I went straight to bed.

Friday
- We got up and headed to Park City. We were headed up to ride Thomas the Train. I felt better. Sort of. By the time we got to Heber for the train ride I was good. The kids were in heaven. We waved at Thomas, got pictures, went on the ride, and Connor got his beloved cotton candy. It was a nice short train ride. Just perfect for the kids and myself. We went and got ice cream at the Dairy Keen and saw more trains. Then headed over to Park City to stay the night. We took the kids to Pizza and Noodle on main for dinner, headed back to the hotel to go for a swim and then hit the sack.
Saturday- We were planning to go to Lagoon but there were a few things that changed our minds. #1 The weather was CRAPPY. It was cold, windy, and cloudy. I think it may have sprinkled a bit on us. #2 Paul woke up with Gout in his flippin' foot. He was literally dragging it behind him as he walked. I could just imagine us up at Lagoon: Me pulling two kids around in a wagon or something and my hubby strolling along side me in a wheelchair. Not happening.
Instead, we shopped the outlets in Park City then headed to Salt Lake. We took the boys to the Living Aquarium. Ate at The Cheesecake Factory then went and saw Shrek at the theater. It turned out great.
Sunday- We had a party/celebration for Dylan at the park in Gunnison. Paul and his brother Matt cooked up some hamburgers and hotdogs for everyone and we just chilled at the park for a few hours. After hanging out with our families for a bit we loaded up again and headed home. It was such a great weekend, minus the puke, googs, and gout!

What a fun trip! I wish we could have gotten together while you were up here. I know how much you need to see your family, though. We miss you guys like crazy! Give us a few months of having a REAL job and maybe we'll make a trip to see you! I'm sorry you were sick...no fun! By the way...Christian and I make fun of male passengers. We have lots of people in my family that do the same thing! :)

How am I JUST seeing this post? I love it! This weekend seriously sounds perfect. Glad you had fun! Cute pictures. Of all the things...Gout? A teacher at my school had that this year. Weird! And random! And you always drive? I would go crazy! Michael is the driver in our family. I think because he doesn't trust me. Ha!
