They Say it's Your Birthday

Dylan's favorite food is doughnuts. If I take him out and about, aka Wal-mart....he always, always asks for a doughnuts. It's like clockwork. We walk into a store, Dylan asks for a doughnut. So what better way to start out a birthday celebration than doughnuts for breakfast?! Oh yes, chocolate doughnuts with chocolate frosting and cold milk, sipped through a straw.

He loved it. Connor loved it. Heck, Paul and I loved it.

Dylan opened his presents and then we taught him to say, "I'm-a-two!" It is seriously the cutest thing ever. We say,"How old are you?" Dylan responds: "I'm-a-two!"

After dinner we had birthday brownies....Dylan's second favorite food is probably brownies...with frosting...and sprinkles. We sang happy birthday, blew out candles (like 4 times, just so I could get a decent picture), and ate brownies with chocolate ice cream.

Sheesh! No wonder Dylan hasn't lost any weight during chemotherapy. This kid is full of chocolate!

Oh, and a little minor detail I can't leave out: Dylan tried to eat the candle right after he blew it out. Yes, he has a blister on his lip. No, I don't abuse my children! But I am sure we have neighbors who would think otherwise.

Oh, and if you saw Connor you really might think I abused my children. He face planted it running down a small hill at the outlet malls. Awesome. He has scraped both knees, hands, his nose, eye, chin, lip and shoulder! He looked horrible. Today he looks lots better, except I keep thinking he has a booger on his lip. He keeps sticking his finger up his nose and then.......well maybe, he really does have a booger on his lip. Who knows?
Anyway. Nurse Jeanette. Remember her, from {this post}? Well, it's Monday and so she came for a visit. She brought the boys Buzz Lightyear-space-toy-shooter-things. They love them. She has two boys and she knew she couldn't just bring Dylan a present and not Connor. So she brought them both a toy. She is fabulous. We are going to miss our Monday visits with Jeanette.

They say its your birthday....we say party all week long!

Thursday we are headed to Sanpete
Friday we are going on a train ride-a Thomas the Train ride
Saturday we will be at Lagoon....its where fun is!

ps. how do I make cute collages with all my pictures...Collette? Help anyone?!

I cried when I heard Dylan say, "No more chemo!" Hooray! I can't imagine going through what you have. I'm so glad you've come this far.

And it does not look like you beat your kids. Anyone who thinks such a thing is an idiot and has never been around kids.

I love the birthday treats. Sounds like my kind of food!
